[The 2 Bunting sp. that flew over on Sunday, I now think were most probably Corn Bunting. They went over at about 80 feet up, and were larger than Reed Bunting, with light grey-beige beneath (with no flecking visible, and also no white areas). I concentrated on the head of one, expecting to see Reed Bunting-type markings, but saw no markings at all – this confused me at the time. The shape was typical bunting, and the flight was less ‘flappy’ than Reed Bunting, and more direct. They gave two Robin-like ‘tic’ calls.]
